Read this before you give up! My wife and I went for a six-mile walk with a friend last Saturday. I was wearing my Forerunner 235, which I had connected to a charging cable on Friday evening. It died at 1.40 miles into the walk. I suspected that I had not connected it well for charging. So, I took extra care to reconnect it to the charging

Morning all, Has anyone noticed unusual charging issues with the 735? Sometimes when plugged into a wall, nothing seems to happen at all. No charging, no change in the face screen to the 'charging' screen (even if it vibrates after being plugged in, to suggest it's charging.) Sometimes one or the other of those two things happens.

AlaJam over 5 years ago. My owners manual for my Forerunner 230 says the watch runs on a 'user replaceable' 3 volt CR2032 lithium ion battery. My owners manual does not tell me how to replace the battery. Could someone please point me to a tutorial? It won't charge faster than its charging circuit allows. Of course the above assumes you didn't buy some piece of crap charger off of ebay or out of a $1 bin at the Quik-E-Mart. That POS might not regulate the voltage well and present something other than 5VDC, or it may pass off raw rectified AC as DC.
1. Defective Charging Cable. Sometimes by mistake, you or someone in your family may add a faulty charger cable. You might have no idea about it and keep trying to charge your Garmin watch. In such a case, the wristwatch will not charge. It’s because a faulty cable doesn’t let the electricity flow through it.
Solution 4: Do a soft reset. As previously mentioned, charging the watch for an hour enables you to check for battery issues. However, if Garmin Forerunner 255 still won’t turn on try to perform
After your power meter wakes up, you’ll see it’ll send data over to the Connect IQ Data Field, showing your power numbers. It’s really as simple as that. On the upper right corner you’ll see the ANT+ ID that you’ve entered, along with your current power/wattage. To the right of the power, you’ll see your cadence.
In my experience, USB Mode = Mass Storage is the same as the behaviour described in 230, 630, 735 -- i.e. the watch figures it out. I've owned both a 630 and a 935. When USB Mode is Mass Storage: If you connect to a wall charger, the watch remains functional. You get a small charging popup initially, but you can continue to use the watch normally.
Just got back from a week of vacation and my 235 won't charge at all. Won't connect to the PC or wall charger won't work either. I'm assuming a bad cable, but seeing as how it hasn't moved since I charged it before I left, I'm not sure why that would be the case. Any options to try? Or am I stuck buying s new cable? Watch is 2 months old.
The Forerunner 230 does have a bulit-in feature for run/walk alert feature that can be enabled. The device can also do custom intervals created on the watch, or workouts created in Garmin Connect and then sent to the device. The Forerunner 230 does have the ability to display the time of day.
At this point the battery also shows a reduction, usually holding around a 50-75% charge. The next day the battery will be dead. A couple other observations are: 1) If I soft reset the watch at any point during the week the watch begins working as expected but the same process resumes (in other words, if Bluetooth and the sensors won’t
